Paducah Kentucky Woman Dies as a result of a Dump Truck Wrongful Death Crash in McCracken County

Collision with Dump Truck kills Driver One Paducah woman died after a wreck at 11:52 a.m. Monday at Blandville and New Holt roads. Sherianne K. Mabry, 37, of Jefferson Street died Monday afternoon in the emergency room at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Her passenger, Michelle M. Kidd, 59, of Deerhaven Lane, was taken to Lourdes hospital, where she was treated and released. Jeremiah A. Smith, 29, of Kuttawa told Paducah police officer Jody Higdon that he was driving a dump truck west on Blandville Road (U.S. 62) and was unable to stop at a red light. He said he drove into the median to avoid rear-ending another vehicle, but hit Mabry’s Jeep as it turned left from Holt Road. Witnesses told officers that Mabry had a green light as she turned east onto Blandville.

Carlisle Kentucky Bus Crash Now Leaves Logan Simpson Of Kirbyton Dead And One Passenger Remains In Critical Condition

A Carlisle County School Bus Crashed Monday on US Hwy 62 in Carlisle County Kentucky.  The Bus had been on a field trip and was one of three buses full of AP reading students.Seventeen people were injured and Logan Simpson of Kirbyton, Kentucky was prounounced dead at the scene.  First responders life flighted two of the injured to Cape Giradeau Missouri and Memphis Tennesse.  Of the seventeen injured all were treated and released except for an Adult who was listed in critical condition in a Memphis Hospital.

The bus ran off the side of the road and then back onto the road before rotating counter clockwise and flipping into the ditch.  The bus did not have seat belts.  The above facts point out the dangers of traveling on some of Highways in the State of Kentucky in a School Bus.

The Kentucky State Police will have to open a Death Case on the deceased. Sometimes the result of these investigations can stay open for months.

Head-On Collision Claims Life of Two in Marshall County

PALMA, KY – Police say both drivers involved in a head-on collision early Tuesday morning in Marshall County did not live.

According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Office director of operations David Maddox, deputies were dispatched to U.S. 68 near Palma, Ky. shortly before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning after a crash was reported. It was determined one of the two vehicles crossed the center line and struck the other car head-on.

One of the drivers was transported to Marshall County Hospital where he died of his injuries. The second driver was life-flighted to a hospital in Evansville, Ind. where he too died of his injuries suffered in the crash.

The names of the drivers have not yet been released by law enforcement. The crash is still under investigation.
