A Carlisle County School Bus Crashed Monday on US Hwy 62 in Carlisle County Kentucky. The Bus had been on a field trip and was one of three buses full of AP reading students.Seventeen people were injured and Logan Simpson of Kirbyton, Kentucky was prounounced dead at the scene. First responders life flighted two of the injured to Cape Giradeau Missouri and Memphis Tennesse. Of the seventeen injured all were treated and released except for an Adult who was listed in critical condition in a Memphis Hospital.The bus ran off the side of the road and then back onto the road before rotating counter clockwise and flipping into the ditch. The bus did not have seat belts. The above facts point out the dangers of traveling on some of Highways in the State of Kentucky in a School Bus.
The Kentucky State Police will have to open a Death Case on the deceased. Sometimes the result of these investigations can stay open for months.
