What is the quickest and easiest way for us to grow as human beings?  I would argue that one of the most effective ways is by changing our rituals or improving our habits.  If your goal is to become the “Best Version of Yourself” then you must have solid rituals, ones that you do every day.  And they must empower you.  We all know of people who have disempowering rituals.  Some use drugs, some use alcohol, and some overeat.  None of these options are what we are talking about.

An example of a positive ritual would be working out each days or a number of days per week.  Another would be waking in the morning an being thankful for every gift in your life.  Still another might be reading a chapter or so of a new book.  I try really hard to incorporate these examples into my daily rituals.

The Deadliest Vehicles on Kentucky Highways Are Small Cars

Published on Aug 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm in Auto Accidents.

According to a new report from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, drivers might be more likely to survive a car crash if they are driving a certain style of vehicle.  The report examined driver fatalities on United States roadways between 2012 and 2015, and found that smaller cars had the highest death rates.

Simple physics dictates that when two objects collide the object that is smaller in size will experience the greatest damage.  This places drivers of small cars at an increased risk of sustaining severe injuries in a crash.

What You Need to Know About O.J. Simpson’s Parole Offer and Criminal Defense Law

Published on Jul 20, 2017 at 8:59 pm in News.

O.J. Simpson is in the news again, as he has been granted parole by the Nevada Parole Board, and will let him out of prison early. Simpson is expected to be released from prison in October of 2017, and has said he will return to South Florida. Simpson was sentenced to 9-33 years in 2007 for armed robbery and kidnapping. Simpson had his daughter testify on his behalf before the parole board, and then spoke himself, explaining the circumstances behind his conviction, as well as what he has learned in his 9 years behind bars.

Simpson qualifies for several mitigating factors that would support Simpson’s claim for early release. Simpson has been incident free while he has been in prison. Simpson also has a stable post release plan for what he will do once he is out of prison.

Simpson’s legal troubles have been widely published since 1995 when he was tried for murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown. While Simpson was acquitted in criminal court, he was found liable in a Civil Suit brought by the victim’s family.
