WEST PADUCAH, KY – According to Kentucky State Police, a single vehicle accident Saturday evening in West Paducah claims the life of a nineteen-year-old Braidwood, Il teen.

The accident occurred shortly after 5:00 pm Saturday evening.

As twenty-six-year-old Teri Rynearson reached the top of a hill near 9115 Childress Road she lost control of her car. After hitting a ditch, the car struck a utility pole and ejected nineteen-year-old Jacob Rynearson, one of 4 passengers in the vehicle.

Jacob was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County Coroner.

The other two passengers, eighteen-year-old Amanda Trfimchuck and a one-year-old both of Coal City, Il were wearing their seat belts. They were transferred and treated for possible injuries and were eventually released from the hospital.

Collision with Dump Truck kills Driver One Paducah woman died after a wreck at 11:52 a.m. Monday at Blandville and New Holt roads. Sherianne K. Mabry, 37, of Jefferson Street died Monday afternoon in the emergency room at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Her passenger, Michelle M. Kidd, 59, of Deerhaven Lane, was taken to Lourdes hospital, where she was treated and released. Jeremiah A. Smith, 29, of Kuttawa told Paducah police officer Jody Higdon that he was driving a dump truck west on Blandville Road (U.S. 62) and was unable to stop at a red light. He said he drove into the median to avoid rear-ending another vehicle, but hit Mabry’s Jeep as it turned left from Holt Road. Witnesses told officers that Mabry had a green light as she turned east onto Blandville.

The stories below show us some of the most dangers roads on Western Kentucky Highways.  On several occasions this year there have been  accidents on Highway 68 in Marshall County.  As a Kentucky resident & Personal Injury Attorney who travels that road frequently I can understand how it could be the sight of many tragic accidents.  It’s definitely one of the roads in Western Kentucky that must be navigated with Caution.
