Negligence in Ohio Barge Leak

Results from a recent coast guard survey concluded that pilot negligence is responsible for most barging accidents. If inexperience and negligence on the part of the driver were the cause of the barge leak, the barge company would be liable for any injuries arising from the accident. Had the pilot had more experience, or been more cautious, the accident would not have occurred.
